The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award

Take the challenge – Live the achievement

In 2010 Vanier Collegiate put together a Duke of Edinburgh Awards school group.  Vanier is looking for keen and dedicated students who want to learn, grow and contribute to their community to join the program. The goal of the Award is to encournage youth (14 – 25) to participate not only in activities they enjoy but in others and to gain a variety of experience in a fun and encouraging environment.

The program is broken into three levels, bronze, silver and gold.  Within each award level there are four components.

  1. Community Service
  2. Personal Skill Development
  3. Physical Recreation
  4. Adventurous Journey

To learn more about this program talk to your school coordinator, pick up a participation form and go on-line to the Saskatchewan Duke of Edinburgh’s Award or the National Duke of Edinburgh’s Award site.
