SAT/ACT
If there is a chance that you planning on attending a college or university in the United States of America it is important to start preparing yourself for either the SAT or ACT. It is recommended that you take the test in Grade 11 and in Grade 12 to try and improve your score if needed.

Not sure what test to take, research your destination schools to see which one is recommended. However, it is becoming more acceptable for colleges to accept both. The SAT test has three components Critical Reasoning, Mathematics and a required Writing Test. The ACT has five components: English, Mathematics, Reading, Science and an optional Writing Test. It is also important to know that how they are scored is different as well. The SAT takes off points for wrong answers which is considered a correction for guessing. ACT is scored based on the number of correct answers with no penalty for guessing. To investigate further differences read the site below.
